Just off the heels of being recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Jacksonville, Carlton Construction placed fourth in the “50 Fastest-Growing Private Sector Companies in Northeast Florida” by the Jacksonville Business Journal (JBJ), a weekly newspaper with a daily digital edition providing business updates to thousands within the business community of our area.
According to the Business Journal: “The class of nominees increased in both size and scope from last year, proving to be very competitive.” To be eligible, the “50 Fastest” companies had to meet the following:
- be privately held, locally owned and for profit
- be headquartered in one of Florida’s northeast counties
- be in business since at least 2011
- show specific revenue growth and gain since 2012, as verified by the Business Journal’s independent accounting partner
“It’s exciting to be numbered among these dynamic companies that are helping to drive the economy of Northeast Florida,” says Matt Carlton, president of Carlton Construction. “I believe our growth is directly related to the Carlton team’s focus on our mission — our deep commitment to quality, craftsmanship and total client satisfaction for every commercial project and luxury home construction.”
An event honoring the companies was held Thursday, July 16, at the Renaissance World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida.
Adds Matt, “This is a team win for us at Carlton. During the last few years we have been laser-focused on achieving big goals we set for ourselves. I’m proud of every member of the Carlton team and their contributions to our efforts.”
