Carlton Construction has been named one of the “Best Places to Work” in Jacksonville by the Jacksonville Business Journal (JBJ), a weekly newspaper with a daily digital edition providing business updates to thousands within the business community of Northeast Florida.
“We’re thrilled with this honor,” says Matt Carlton, president of Carlton Construction. “I believe it springs from the fact that we really value every one of our team members.”
For more than 10 years, the JBJ has worked with an independent national research firm to survey and measure the companies that “have the more interesting workplaces, the best culture, (and) the happiest employees…companies that truly stand out.”
Says Matt, “We give our employees the proper tools, challenging experiences and opportunities to personally improve. We encourage everyone to share their thoughts about their job, the company and its way of doing business; inspiring our team members to perform at their highest levels.”
A contingent of Carlton team members attended the Business Journal’s celebratory event for all the honored companies.
“A positive, supportive company culture is just good business,” adds Matt. “Our employees become actively engaged and ultimately succeed, which means Carlton Construction succeeds.”
And Carlton has succeeded — it was also just named one of the “50 Fastest-Growing Private Sector Companies in Northeast Florida” — more on that in an upcoming blog.
