Located in Jacksonville’s historic Fairfax community, this project delivers an adaptive reuse of a former gas station, transforming the existing structure into Duval Fish Co., a neighborhood seafood restaurant with mid-century character. The project includes the addition of kitchen space, storage, and office space, while preserving key architectural elements that reflect the building’s original use.
Plans feature indoor and outdoor dining areas, walk-up bar seating, and a monument sign fabricated from a reclaimed buoy, reinforcing the restaurant’s Old-Florida maritime identity. This design-build effort balances preservation with modern upgrades, supporting the vision of a family-owned business rooted in local tradition and hospitality.
