San Marco Residence

San Marco Residence

About The Project

Originally constructed in 1928 as a realty office, this beautiful San Marco residence is rooted in the rich history of the Spanish and Mediterranean revival popular in the ‘20s. The office was repurposed into a 2800 sq. ft., three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in the 1950s. Located in the famous Granada neighborhood, the property shares the unique, charming style the suburb is known for. The owners loved the historic beauty of their home, but recognized that serious updates were needed if they were going to enjoy their property for years to come.

“The entire team worked not only to salvage what we could of the original home, but to imagine its best possible rendition.”
– Stephanie Jarvis, Interior Designer –

Our goal was to integrate early 20th century elegance with the functionality of a modern home. We worked with a specialized team of architects and designers who shared an appreciation for history to achieve this. We installed unique pecky cypress ceilings and antique beams to complement the rustic look of the house. We also installed a robust timbered porch and breezeway, vintage iron lighting, stucco interior walls, handcrafted tiles, and much more. In the end, we delivered a significant visual and structural overhaul, while preserving the history that makes the home so unique.
