We’re proud to announce the hiring of Rusty White as Sr. Project Manager/Business Development. In this role Rusty will primarily manage our residential projects and business development, and help with our commercial side as needed. Rusty brings an immense amount of construction knowledge, project management experience and business development expertise. He’s an even-keeled gentleman at all times and is a pleasure to work with.
Rusty comes to us from the Dana B. Kenyon Company, a Jacksonville-based construction company, where he was VP Business Development. He knew Matt Carlton there, and the two worked on a few projects together.
“I saw how Matt ran jobs and treated clients. We definitely share the same ideas and values, and I have a lot of respect for him,” said Rusty. “The opportunity to work in high-end custom home construction at a growing company, with such potential as Carlton, is very exciting for me.”
Rusty literally grew up in construction, following his father to job sites and later working in the family’s residential construction company. He then spent 16 years with Kenyon.
Rusty is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, meaning he is knowledgeable in “green” building design, construction, operations and maintenance. He is also past board chairman of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida First Coast Chapter.
Rusty and his wife live in the Avondale area of Jacksonville, and have two grown sons. Outside of work, Rusty enjoys any type of outdoor activity – golf, hunting, fishing and hiking. He also serves on the board of Lutheran Social Services, a faith-based provider of services for people in need.
We’re excited to have Rusty on-board and look forward to continuing the trend of growth and excellent quality at Carlton Construction.
