For the Green Cove Springs community, the Clay Theatre is rooted in the town’s history. At nearly 100 years old, the theatre had seen — and survived — its fair share of tough times.
Shuttered in 2014, the theatre spent nearly a decade dormant. A local couple acquired the property in 2017, and began exploring options for the space outside of a traditional theatre’s purpose. They settled on an event venue for weddings, gatherings, and parties.
In need of an extensive renovation, the couple brought us in to complete a design-build. Basham & Lucas Design Group served as the architect.
