The crane shop is a pre-engineered metal building structured around efficiency and functionality, featuring two crane repair bays centrally located within the facility, two general maintenance bays, fabrication shop, track repair shop, engine repair shop, parts storage, and shipping/receiving office space. Essential amenities such as employee lockers and an employee lounge and training area underscore the company’s commitment to its workforce. The shop is equipped with three bridge cranes (two 2-ton cranes and one 10-ton crane), a vehicle lift, oil and lubricant stations, and welding machinery, making it a comprehensive maintenance hub.
The crane repair bays were structurally designed with a deep foundation to withstand loads in excess of 600,000lb. This allows MOBRO’s largest cranes to be repaired under the cover of the building enclosure.
Completed by Carlton Construction in 2022, the MOBRO Marine Crane Maintenance Facility has significantly bolstered the operational capabilities of MOBRO Marine, enhancing their service quality and efficiency.
